We would like to thank everyone for coming to our Annual Harvest Party and celebrating another great season with us. We are grateful for our loyal customers, who have stuck with us during a bumping season. During the winter months we will be at the New Leaf Farmer’s Market held at the KI center in Green Bay. Watch our Facebook page and Blog for other CSA sign-up dates and expos.

We look forward to seeing you over the winter and next season.

Notes from the Field: Preparation for our party

We are preparing the farm for the Annual Harvest Party, which is on October 18th this year.  The goats, chickens, and turkeys are excited to see new faces roaming the farm.  Tom is preparing the booyah kettle to start making the booyah at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday.  Nancy has started to dig the carrots for the four pounds that are needed for the soup.

Booyah: a thick soup of presumably Belgian origin made throughout the Upper Midwest.  (www.wikipedia.com)

The Annual Harvest Party is once again open to all CSA members.  We also encourage current members to bring their family and friends.  The Harvest Party is not only a time to celebrate the end of our current season, but also a time to look forward to the next season.  We’ll have sign up available for next year and some great incentives if you choose to sign up now.

As always, we look forward to opening our farm to the public and having everyone come to see what we do and learn why we do it.  So come enjoy a warm cup of Tom’s famous booyah, visit the farm, and (re)connect with fellow CSA members!
